User Experience Changes
  • You can no longer roll up after filtering.  You must roll up before filtering.
This will be the last version that increases functionality until Version 2.0, due to be released in 2012.  Bug fixes etc will still be included as needed.

This week I purchased a new Acer computer (i5 processor, 64 bit, 4GB Ram).  It has increased importing speed by at least 500%.  

With my old computer (dual core pentium, 32 bit, 4 GB RAM), it was taking me 4 seconds per image.  With the new computer, it is close to 2 images per second.

Makes trail cam surveys a LOT better.

A couple of users have reported that their images will not import when Validate Images is checked.  

To temporarily fix the issue, uncheck "Validate Images". 

We are investigating the problem, but since it has only happened on a couple of computers, we believe it is something on those local computers that is blocking the functionality, such as anti-virus.

If this happens to you, please reply below and list any anti-virus type programs that you are currently running.

Performance Enhancements

  • Optimized Image Import to reduce memory usage.  

    NOTE: This was a problem when users were importing thousands of large resolution images.   If you are importing very high resolution images and the file sizes are greater than 1mb, we suggest upgrading your computer and/or increasing RAM as a low-end computer can only handle so much.

User-Friendly Enhancements

  • There was an issue with Harvest Data window expanding correctly and that was fixed.
  • Added better error handling to the reports form

Algorithm Fix

  • Fixed an issue in the trail camera survey algorithm.  It was counting fawns incorrectly within the total population estimate.

Major Bug Fix

  • Removed the ability to delete physical images
  • When a directory with existing content was selected as the WISE images folder in Step 1 -- Manage Settings, the "DELETE ALL IMAGES" functionality can delete ALL content in that folder, including existing content not related to WISE.   
  • If you are currently using a folder that has non WISE content in it, please create a NEW folder for the WISE Image Directory in Step 1 -- Manage  Settings. If you need help moving the images from that folder to the new folder to get it to sync up in WISE, contact us at wise_support@huntersclub.com and we will help you.
  • You can still delete image records in WISE, but you can no longer delete physical images in WISE.  You must delete them manually.
New Functionality
  • Added the ability to skip to any image by number.  I.e. If you want to see the 100th image, you type in 100 and click Skip.
